Description: A learning opportunity for educators and administrators who support student writers in all content areas. Join SDAWP Fellows in a discussion of writing instruction while sharing ideas in a community of writers. Concurrent sessions will highlight successful writing instruction for all of our students from demonstrations presented by SDAWP Teacher Consultants. The conference is aligned with the CA State Standards (ELA/ELD). Session topics include: building a writing community; poetry in the writing classroom; argument-based writing; making thinking visible; writing to support English Language Learners; navigating through informational texts; layering and digital tools; patterns of development as organizational tools; developing voice and choice with the writer's notebook; and more! Register a team of 3 or more teachers from a single school site and an administrator attends at no charge! Register now!!
